April 14, 2010 · Updated 3:10 PM
The South Whidbey baseball team lost its second of three games against Lakewood Wednesday, 13-12.
On the Cougars home field, despite falling behind 10-0, Lakewood fought back with a nine-run second inning en-route to an unexpected 13-12 come-from-behind league win. The game was postponed due to rain after the first inning.
By the time the Cougars came to the plate in the second inning, they were already trailing 10-0. Cougar Cody Blount relieved for Lakewood in the second and shut down the Falcons, allowing just one run in four innings of work.
The Falcons are now 4-4 in the Cascade Conference, 5-5 overall.
