The South Whidbey boys golf team traveled to Bellingham just before spring break to play two Northwest League teams.
The team tied for first after 18 holes with Sehome — both teams scored 436 at Lake Padden Golf Course. Squalicum was third with 467.
Falcon Shane Thompson led with 72, Harrison Price shot 83, Jesse Portillo had 91 and Ben Saari and Connor Mauk both shot 95.
“The boys didn’t play up to par, except for Shane, but we held our own,” said Falcon coach Steve Jones.
Next up is the invitation-only Tom Dolan Tournament in Everett on Monday, April 12.
