The South Whidbey boys golf team traveled to Dungeness Golf Course Tuesday, but didn’t come home crabby after beating Sequim 415 to 422.

“The boys played this par-72 course in cool and windy conditions, and showed a lot of style against a very good team,” said Falcon coach Steve Jones.

Shane Thompson led the Falcons with 78, Harrison Price had 79, Josh Yingling, 84, Connor Mock, 86, and Jesse Portillo, 88.

“Our first home match of the season is 2:30 p.m. Monday April 26 at Useless Bay Golf Course,” Jones said. “This is a tournament match with all schools in our league visiting. I should note South Whidbey is currently in second place in league standings.”
