Boys Falcon golf squeaks by Glacier Peak

Falcon sophomore Anton Klein shot a 41 through nine holes at Useless Bay Golf & Country Club on Thursday to lead South Whidbey past Glacier Peak in a non-league boys golf meet. South Whidbey, a 1A school, took down 3A Glacier Peak 232-235.

South Whidbey’s golfers were tightly grouped together.

Ian Saunsaucie shot a 46, followed closely by Thorin Helmersen with a 47 and Jacob Nelson with a 48. Jeff Bueler shot a 50 through the cold and windy conditions.

South Whidbey boys golf heads to the Port Ludlow Invitational on April 28 before returning to Cascade Conference competition on April 30 against Cedarcrest in Carnation.
