The Crabs lost in the opener when the visitors scratched out a run in their half of the seventh inning to top the Crabs, 2-1.

Whidbey’s Trent Fallon was outstanding on the mound for four innings before Ricky Muzzy replaced him in the sixth. Elijah Nichols had two hits in two at bats.

In the second game, Davin Kessler relieved Houston Schmutz and provided five innings of relief pitching, giving the Crabs the chance to rally in the bottom of the seventh for three runs and an 8-7 victory.

Jeff Bueler bounced a hit to the first-base side of the infield scoring Muzzy from third with the winning run. CK Watson led the Crabs with two hits and three RBIs.

The Crabs record in league play stands even at four wins and four losses.

Whidbey resumes MTYAA action on the Wednesday, April 27 in Mountlake Terrace against the Terrace Ravens.
