Falcon girls tennis claims 5-1 home victory over Wildcats

South Whidbey girls tennis defeated Archbishop Murphy 5-1 on Thursday afternoon at South Whidbey High School.

Earning victories were singles players Bayley Gochanour, Mary Zisette, Ashley Ricketts and doubles teams Alex Foode and Robynn Maciel, Sarah Hodson and Taylor Hamilton, and Ally Lynch and McKenna Chapman.

Gochanour had the most narrow victory, defeated Hannah Van Hollebeck 6-3, 7-5.

Sophomore Fariss Jokinen was defeated by Archbishop Murphy’s Sarah Murphy in three sets. Jokinen won the first set 6-3, lost the second 7-5 and lost the third 6-4.
