Falcons to host large postseason meet | FALCON CROSS COUNTRY

The Northwest Class 1B-4A District Cross Country Championships will be held on Saturday afternoon atSouth Whidbey High School. Teams from 1B/2B, 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A classifications will compete in the 5,000-meter meet.

Teams from 1B/2B, 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A classifications will compete in the 5,000-meter meet.

Runners who place in the top 20 earn berths to the 1A WIAA Cross Country State Championships to be heldon Nov. 5 at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco.

The 5,000-meter 1A race, which South Whidbey competes in, is slated to begin at 2:30 p.m.

South Whidbey’s boys team finished second in the Cascade Conference Championships on Oct. 24.

Sophomore Callahan Yale led the Falcon boys with a sixth-place finish.

Falcon senior Sophia Morgan led the girls by finishing fourth overall.
