Girls tennis vying for state berths

South Whidbey girls tennis played in the 1A bi-district tournament May 20 at Amy Yee Tennis Center after The Record’s deadline.

South Whidbey girls tennis played in the 1A bi-district tournament May 20 at Amy Yee Tennis Center after The Record’s deadline. Hoping to qualify for the class 1A state championships were seniors Iona Rohan and Clara Martin, junior Bayley Gochanour and freshman Mary Zisette, and seniors Macey Bishop and Anna Lynch.

The Falcons finished the regular season 11-1 overall and 7-1 in the Cascade Conference.
