Klein finishes 14th at 1A championship | FALCON BOYS GOLF

Falcon boys golfer Anton Klein finished in 14th place after recovering from a rocky first-round start in the state 1A tournament May 27-28 in Pasco. Klein, a junior, shot an 80 the first round and recovered with a 74 on day two. His second round score alone would have put him in the top 10, but the higher first-round card of 80 strokes bumped him lower in the total.

Falcon boys golfer Anton Klein finished in 14th place after recovering from a rocky first-round start in the state 1A tournament May 27-28 in Pasco.

Klein, a junior, shot an 80 the first round and recovered with a 74 on day two. His second round score alone would have put him in the top 10, but the higher first-round card of 80 strokes bumped him lower in the total.

Klein was joined at the state tournament by teammate Thorin Helmersen, who shot a 92 on the first round and missed the second-round cut by eight strokes.
