Pee Wee Falcons break Concrete 25-0

The South Whidbey Pee Wee Football team defeated the Concrete Lions 25-0 at Concrete on Saturday, Aug. 27.

Four different Falcons scored.

Ian Maddux scored on a 45-yard end-around to put South Whidbey ahead 6-0.

A halfback pass from Ian to Brent Batchelor was completed, but Brent fell a yard short of the goal line. Then Ian scored again on an end-around.

Todd Nikula scored on a 35-yard run. JJ Germano scored the extra point on a 2-yard run up the middle worth one point to lead 19-0.

On the ensuing kick off, Matthew Kelley stripped the ball from the Concrete ball carrier and returned it 35 yards for a touchdown.

The mercy rule came into effect in the second quarter and the Pee Wee team coasted to a victory.

The Falcons had more than 200 rushing yards and kept the Lions to less than 50 yards of total offense.

The Falcon Pee Wee team is comprised of 14 boys and one girl from Central and South Whidbey. The boys and girl in blue and silver have plenty of time to practice and prepare for the next game. They will play the Anacortes Pee Wee team at Anacortes at 11 a.m., Sept. 10.
