Short-handed Falcons come away with win / Girls golf

Although South Whidbey had only three golfers, the Falcons girls team still won the league opener at Cedar Park Christian-Bothell 78-37 Thursday, March 29.

Kolby Heggenes tallied 31 points for the Falcons, Emma Leggett added a career high 26 and Tori Schuller had 21 in her first league match.

“They all played well, and I was extremely happy how they played considering that we were short-handed,” coach Garth Heggenes said.

South Whidbey faces Sultan at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at the Blue Boy Golf Course in Monroe.
