South Whidbey falls to league leaders / Volleyball

King’s, ranked second in this week’s 1A state volleyball poll, demonstrated its talent in beating visiting South Whidbey High School 3-0 Tuesday, Oct. 22.

The Knights defeated the Falcons 25-10, 25-12, 25-20 and stayed on top of the North Sound Conference standings with an 8-0 record (12-0 overall).

South Whidbey is now 3-5 (4-8) and in fourth place with two matches remaining.

The Falcons play third-place Cedar Park Christian (5-3, 10-4) in the final home match at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, and then go to Granite Falls (0-8, 3-10) for the regular-season finale ta 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28.
