South Whidbey loses regular-season finale / Tennis

The South Whidbey High School tennis team closed out the regular season with a 5-0 loss to first-place University Prep Monday, Oct. 14, in Langley.

In singles, Max Rodriguez lost 6-1, 6-0; and Ben Roughsedge fell 6-0, 6-1.

In doubles, the Buck brothers, Levi and Ranger, lost 7-5, 6-3; Emmett Layman and Jordan Wu fell 7-5, 6-0; and Waylan Parsell and Kaiden Wilson were edged 6-2, 5-7, 10-8.

The Falcons finished the regular season with a 3-11 record.

The bi-district tournament is Oct. 19 and 21 at Sammamish High School.
