Greatful for county’s help getting sale closed

Editor,

I want to compliment our Island County Environmental Health staff. The week before Christmas, I was involved in a real estate transaction that absolutely needed to close on Dec. 22.

The septic professionals were diligently working to meet the deadline. Hoping against hope that the county staffers could work their magic to complete the final inspections, we were right at the end of that clock running out. But the staff pulled the rabbit out of the hat, did their thing, the lender reviewed the documents and cleared the funds for the closing on Friday, at the last possible minute.

Thanks very much to everyone involved for being willing to go that extra mile during the very busy holiday season. I’m sure Santa and his reindeer visited this home on this snowy Christmas Eve.
