Letter: 2020 Impeachment

Editor,

With the new year,

2020,

upon us,

redolent,

the reference to hindsight ripe,

I look back to the 2000 election,

an impeached Clinton,

Ralph Nader,

Bush/Cheney.

I look back

with shock and awe

at the duplicity,

the arrogant disregard

for common sense.

In less than 20 years

we’ve gone from hanging chads

to twenty thousand lies,

right before our eyes.

Now, for salvation,

Amerikkka turns its face to you,

band-armed Republicans,

they’re warming in the pen,

whole herd of white sheep,

Moscow Mitch’s bitches,

feels more like 1938.

Steven V. Horton
