After reading the recent articles and letters concerning the Greenbank Farm, I again realize how fortunate the residents and visitors to Whidbey Island are to have the Greenbank Farm with its open spaces and enjoyable businesses to explore.

Yearly, thousands enjoy the dog park areas, have a glass of wine at the wine shop, shop and stroll through the art galleries, eat at the cafe, marvel at the surrounding gardens and pea patches, utilize the numerous walking trails and child play areas and view birds and the fantastic landscapes.

Most importantly the nonprofit farm, which is managed by the Port of Coupeville, needs your financial support and volunteer assistance to continue the 151-acre farm.

The Port of Coupeville farm office is located at the north end of the parking lot and is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

Once again, earlier this month Central Whidbey Fire truck brought Santa Claus for a tractor lighting event at the farm. In order to restore and maintain this historic farm, raffle tickets were also sold at the farm.

Donations are always accepted for the Greenbank Farm. When you donate you are preserving a wonderful historic area plus ensuring its future.

As a volunteer, I say “thank you” to those who have donated monies or volunteer hours, and I urge the community to financially support the farm this December and in 2020.
