Letter: Do writers have concerns about Hunter Biden?

Editor,

I read with interest the recent letters to the editor by writers who think former President Trump is the modern-day equivalent to Benedict Arnold, John Brown and Old Scratch rolled into one contemptible package.

If hate is truly a crime, I suggest these writers would qualify for prosecution.

It is true that history is a harsh judge, so that may be the fate of the president.

As far as his complicity in the Capitol riots on Jan. 6, to claim that he is guilty of inciting them is as accurate as claiming Kamala Harris didn’t condone rioting all summer long.

What seems to be missing in both of these writer’s arguments is a sense of balance. Every conservative I know was equally upset by what happened at the Capitol as they were about the riots all summer long. Both were strongly condemned.

Can these gentlemen say the same about those senators voting to convict?

As far as it being an insurrection, the only gun that was fired was by a person whose identity, for whatever reason, remains hidden.

It killed a woman who was unarmed.

The policeman who died was not beaten as had been reported, and his cause of death remains unknown to the best of my knowledge.

An odd insurrection at best.

The overreaction to this protest is only equal to the under reaction of our “summer of love.”

That the unfounded Russia collusion still resonates with these two makes me wonder if they have any concerns about Hunter Biden.

It would seem that as minor a player that Russia is, the Chinese dragon would be of more concern.

He still hasn’t divested himself of his connections to them. But no hurry, his father will make it all OK.
