At times like these, Good Cheer is here for our community.
During these stressful and uncertain times, having strong community institutions is key. We are so fortunate that Good Cheer Food Bank is here to serve our community.
For over 50 years Good Cheer has been a part of the South Whidbey community, providing food to our friends and neighbors who are experiencing food insecurity.
We should all be pleased to know that today Good Cheer, with its motto, “Creating a Hunger-Free Community,” is here for all who need it.
We all know that right now many of our neighbors need more help than usual.
If you are struggling, perhaps in ways you never thought you would, please know that Good Cheer is here for you.
With your health and the health of the Good Cheer crew in mind, new practices for social distancing are in place at the Food Bank in Bayview. All are welcome, without question.
If you are in need, just come to the Food Bank in Bayview, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and you will receive food provided by a community that cares about you.
As you may know, because of the forced closure of non-essential businesses, the Good Cheer Thrift Store in Langley and Good Cheer Two at Ken’s Korner were indefinitely closed.
While these two stores provide revenue for the organization, please be assured that Good Cheer has established a solid financial footing to proceed with food bank operations for the months ahead.
Good Cheer is here so that those in need can rely on their service at times like these.
So, please know that Good Cheer is here for you if you are in need.
And to those of you in our community who are blessed with all they need at this time, please consider making a financial contribution to Good Cheer, to become part of the strong social fabric that holds South Whidbey together.
Board member of Good Cheer.
