Letter: Incumbent school board members are strong advocates for kids

As a longtime educator for the South Whidbey School District I have seen many school board members come and go. Our community is currently in a position to retain three outstanding board members who are among the best I have seen in the last 25 years.

Andrea Downs, Marnie Jackson and Ann Johnson are compassionate, educated and experienced in public service. They are strong advocates for our students. They understand the complexities of public school and the board‘s role in the system.

Andrea, Marnie and Ann serve with deep integrity and a lack of personal agenda. These board members are committed to supporting academic excellence, student safety and equity for all. Their experience and leadership have been invaluable to our district. Let’s keep them in office to continue the good work.
