Letter: Incumbents are calm, steady leaders

The election this November requires your very special attention as you vote for your school board members. I am writing in support of Andrea Downs, Marnie Jackson, and Ann Johnson. These three current board members have deep backgrounds in education and student involvement and clearly bring these valuable skills to the job. They have demonstrated calm, steady leadership as they engage in the challenging work of board service.

I know Andrea personally having worked closely with her on the board when I was a member. After watching online meetings and studying the online voter information provided by Marnie Jackson and Ann Johnson, I am very impressed with their experience and commitment to students.

There is nothing more important than the education of our children in a safe, inclusive and positive environment. I believe these three board members deserve our votes to ensure all our students continue to grow and succeed in that type of environment.
