Letter: It is worth taking time to read the U.S. Constitution, articles

Editor,

It’s getting hard to ignore our national news and the extensively detailed Mueller investigation that clearly is zeroing in on President Trump — a “witch hunt” that is finding “witches” off their legendary broom.

Amidst all of this, our nation’s Constitution gets cited in multiple ways making one wonder if any of these constitutional authorities have even read the revered document?

Ever read our Constitution? Yes, it’s not an easy read, but it would be a good idea to get a copy and wade through it for yourself.

Some of the written particulars seem different from common opinions.

One thing that stands out to me is that the framers had concerns about a president committing treason. They enumerated the remedy for it and defined it as making actual war on any state, or merely “adhering” to or giving aid and comfort to any state’s enemies, Article III, sections 2 and 3.

Could that be happening?

This whole thing is getting interesting.
