Letter: ‘Langley treasure’ a world class violinist

Editor,

Many of you are aware of our “Langley treasure,” Marley Erickson. Her ability to turn a violin into an emotional and sweet instrument is, simply said, exceptional.

It’s not easily done.

She’s just 16 now, but has been mentored by the world’s best, from Norway, Brussels, Germany, and many more in America. She’s been winning world class competitions since 2016.

Her appearance at Whidbey Island Center for the Arts on Dec. 28 was attended by 160 astonished local residents.

The recognition of her amazing gift to play a concert level program was well recognized by those present.

I know she would be thrilled to have your support on her next performance.
