Letter: Non-citizens get more protections than U.S. citizens

Editor,

Thinking out loud here, our border is being over burdened by over 1 million many of whom have covid according to reports, but yet they get no restrictions or mandates like us citizens. they get flown around or bused at our tax expense.

I’m sure they all have “ID” and been verified, wink wink.

In the budget bill now up for vote, Democrats are pushing for them all to be citizens. They vote Democrat, you know, so why not grow their voters?

Or so the theory goes.

But it’s racist to even ask for ID to vote? In Delaware, they require identification to vote, have no early voting or drop off boxes, but it’s “Jim Crow “ for another state?

Silence from Joe Biden on that for decades.

Didn’t Congress pass the Real ID Act after Sept. 11? You need ID to fly, get a bank account and library card and to buy certain things requires an ID. Generally, you show ID each time you’re at the bank, at least that’s been my experience.

Something is not right here. Why do non-citizens get more protections than us?
