To the editor:

In the relatively short time I have known her, Helen Price Johnson has impressed me as a woman dedicated to her family, to her friends, and to her community. Her commitment to bettering the lives of those around her is undeniable, and examples of her successes abound.

I am inspired by her abilities as a thoughtful leader who recognizes the difference between simply doing things right and doing the right things. She has a realistic vision for the future that is based upon long years of service — whether as a volunteer, as a businessperson or as an elected official.

For those of us who see the need to change the direction of our government, Helen is the clear choice for Island County commissioner.

I’m going to vote for Helen.

I hope you will do the same.
