To the editor:

As court commissioner for the past 10 years, I have had the privilege of working with and for Superior Court Judges Vickie I. Churchill and Alan R. Hancock here in Island County.

While we are all very busy with full court calendars, Judge Churchill has always made herself available as a thoughtful mentor and administrator of the business of the court. Judge Churchill has the experience, temperament, intellect and commitment necessary for the proper and efficient delivery of justice.

She is a dedicated, intelligent and capable jurist and should be retained as Superior Court judge for Island County.

I urge all citizens to vote in the August primary, which is when this contested judicial election will be decided.
