To the editor:

A letter to the editor recently said the Third of July Annual Celebration at Holmes Harbor needs us all to help with funding/donations this year I would like to add a huge thank you for putting this celebration on. And we need YOU! This annual celebration brings in thousands and thousands of people to shop in our stores and stay in our motels, so it boosts our economy. What it also does is save fingers and toes and what else, who knows?

This year, please skip the backyard fireworks and send that money instead to the Third of July Annual Celebration. All together, we make a wonderful fireworks display that is safe and sound and outstanding!

Please, backyard fireworks are not safe. Holmes Harbor Third of July IS safe, and one of the greatest shows you will see right here in our own back yard.
