South Whidbey’s own Nora Felt was one of seven seniors on Luther College’s cross country team to earn a varsity letter.

Felt, who graduated from South Whidbey High School in 2013, also served as team captain and was a three-time Iowa Conference Fall Sports All-Academy Team honoree (3.5 grade-point-average or higher).

Luther College is a four-year liberal arts college in Decorah, Iowa and competes athletically in NCAA Division III.

The Norse present varsity letters to seniors only, a tradition that was started by Luther College women’s cross country coach Yarrow Pasche.

Felt was all-conference and a state qualifier while competing in cross country and track and field for the Falcons.

She is the daughter of Richard and Elizabeth Felt.
