Art lovers of Whidbey Island may want to take Mom to a special event happening this weekend.

The Whidbey Art Market runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 13-14 at Campfire, an event venue located at 5417 Crawford Road in Langley. Now in its third season, the Whidbey Art Market features 10 artists from the island who create using various media, from ceramics to basketry to painting.

The artists include Tricia Balok, Daniel Gregory, Reggie Kastler, Barbara Mosher, Sasha Polonko, Beth Rahi, Tammi Sloan, Diana Sanford, Shai Steiner and Kim Tinuviel.

Admission to the event is free. Children are welcome, pets are not.

The ever-changing group of Whidbey artists has produced several pop-up markets in different locations around the island during the past few years as a way of lifting themselves out of the isolation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Visit whidbeyartmarket.com to view profiles of the artists and to see their work.

Whidbey Art Market is a program of the Whidbey Island Arts Council, a nonprofit organization.
