The second annual Chair-ity Auction and Chair Trail is set to arrive on South Whidbey this June 3.

A total of 16 local artists volunteered to create art on 15 Adirondack chairs, which will be placed in locations around South Whidbey. The chairs will be sold during an online auction that runs July 1-15.

Proceeds benefit programs of Whidbey Island Nourishes, a volunteer-powered nonprofit organization that provides supplemental food support to hundreds of youth on South Whidbey who are in need. The nonprofit provides direct delivery of healthy weekend meals along with other nutritional support to children and teens who might otherwise go hungry. For more information about WIN, visit whidbeyislandnourishes.org.

The Chair-ity Trail maps will be located at host businesses and online at chairity-trail.com. This year’s participating artists include Donna Auer, Sean and Leneen Carr, Rebecca Collins, Janie Cribbs, Rene Flynn-Federspiel, Heather Forrest, Mary Luft Gladhart, Kim Kelzer, Lynn Kohlwes, Tim “Airman Timmy” McCants, Gail Miller, Kristi O’Donnell, Henry Olson and Siobhan Wright.

Follow the Chair-ity Trail, enjoy seeing these unique chairs, and donate at the online auction to win one for yourself.
