A concert featuring PETE the BAND will be held on Whidbey Island Fairgrounds on Cinco de Mayo.

A concert featuring Whidbey’s preeminent “rough and ready rock combo,” PETE the BAND, will be held on Whidbey Island Fairgrounds in Langley on Cinco de Mayo.

The benefit concert will raise money to help cover the pre-event expenses of bringing the large, three-day Little BIG Fest back to the fairgrounds in August.

Tickets for the Cinco de Mayo concert are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Those 12 and under are free. Tickets are at LittleBigCinco.Eventbrite.com. To learn more or donate to Little BIG Fest, visit littlebigfest.org.

“We are bubbling over with excitement about the return of Little BIG Fest” said Keegan Harshman, producer and organizer of Little BIG Fest. “Each year we missed has been difficult to say the least, but it gave us time to put intention into how, where and when the festival would return so we can create the best experience possible for our community.”

David Stern, fairgrounds marketing and event coordinator, said there has been a high demand for festivals and other large events in recent years. The Whidbey Island Fairgrounds and Events Center is hosting the the Little BIG Fest and two benefit shows.

“Music festivals are such an important part of the human experience and help form the cultural fabric of our island,” he said.

The mission of the Little BIG Fest is to provide a weekend of amazing live music, arts, food, drinks, yoga, workshops, family fun and unforgettable memories for the community.
