The next Conservatory’s Play and Scene Study class at WICA will explore Yasmina Reza’s “God of Carnage” with Andrew Grenier at 7 p.m. tonight in Langley.

Play and Scene Study provides an environment for experienced, beginning and “non” actors to gather for readings, to learn reading and performance technique, and to become acquainted with a broad theatrical repertoire without the pressure of full performance. The group will meet at WICA, 565 Camano Ave.

“God of Carnage,” a comedy about parenthood, starts civilized and urbane, but quickly descends into a raucous display of primitive aggression unleashed by a quartet of concerned parents of boys (Benjamin and Henry) who have just had a violent after-school altercation.

“God of Carnage,” directed by Grenier, will open the 2011-12 Theatre Series.

The class fee is $10. For more information and registration, visit www.WICAonline.com or call 221-8268 or 800-638-7631.
