Sophia Nilsen was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society last month.

Nilsen, a South Whidbey High School graduate, is a senior nursing student at the University of Portland, and has been on the dean’s list every semester, with a cumulative GPA of 3.78. She plans to graduate in May, 2018, with a major in nursing and a minor in Spanish.

Her proud parents are Trish and Nick Nilsen of Langley.
