Ninety-three artists will open their studio doors Sept. 26-27 for the Whidbey Island Open Studio Tour.
Presented by the Whidbey Island Arts Council and now in its 13th year, the self-guided tour is a bit like an “art safari.”
Art lovers and patrons can watch artists work in their studio and buy art directly from the creators. Tourists can choose to visit the studios of painters, sculptors, photographers, potters, glassblowers, woodworkers, jewelers, weavers and other artists.
The $10 ticket includes a map to the island studios and a 2010 wall calendar featuring the work of participating artists.
Proceeds support scholarships, grants and artists. Buy tickets online at www.whidbeyopenstudiotour.org or at outlets across Whidbey Island.
