All eyes will again turn to the heavens this week at Community Park in Langley. No, people won't be gazing upward to the moon to recall the historic moon walk from 40 years ago. Instead, South Whidbey's "Man of Science" Leonard J. Good will present another three-day model rocket camp for kids age 8 or older.

All eyes will again turn to the heavens this week at Community Park in Langley.

No, people won’t be gazing upward to the moon to recall the historic

moon walk from 40 years ago. Instead, South Whidbey’s “Man of Science” Leonard J. Good will present another three-day model rocket camp for kids age 8 or older.

Participants in the camp will make their own 20-inch rockets, then

blast them skyward on Launch Day, coming this Thursday.

The camp begins at 10 a.m. Tuesday. There is a $30 registration fee,
