Whidbey writer’s hospice book released in paperback

Oak Harbor author Karen J. Clayton’s book, “Demystifying Hospice: Inside the Stories of Patients and Caregivers,” is now available in paperback.

Clayton’s book was published in hardcover in October 2018. The paperback edition was released in November.

“My passion is to help folk understand end-of-life options and be more comfortable using hospice care in a timely manner — the majority of folk wait to ask for this exceptional care until the last few weeks or days of their life when many months of care are available,” Clayton said.

The book is available in the Sno-Isle Library System and local and off-island independent book stores as well as the WhidbeyHealth Gift Store in Coupeville.

It is also available in 417 libraries, including six libraries outside the United States.
