According to the State Patrol report, Lelenoa was stopped at the intersection when Boyd’s 1990 Toyota Camry struck and totaled her 1989 Dodge Spirit. Lelenoa was transported to Whidbey General hospital to be treated for head and neck injuries. On Friday, Nov. 24, at 10:40 p.m., Freeland’s Patrick Zeine, 32, received minor injuries and a trip to the hospital when he rolled and totaled his 1986 Ford Bronco on East Harbor Road after swerving to avoid two cars stopped in the roadway near Vinton Avenue. He did not strike either vehicle and no one else was hurt in the accident.The third accident of the holiday weekend occurred on Saturday, Nov. 25, near the Deception Pass Bridge. The State Patrol reported that Kristine Coachman, 31, of Freeland, had stopped her 1991 Toyota Camry in the northbound lane of Highway 20 because of heavy traffic when a 1995 Acura Integra driven by Rosemarie Freitas, 30, of Oak Harbor struck Coachman’s car from behind. Coachman and her three passengers — Geneil Warren, 55, of Oak Harbor, Gail Fullerton, 48, of Eurika, Calif., and Leola Millis, of Arcadia, Calif. — were all transported to Whidbey General Hospital to be treated for neck and back pain. Freitas was also transported and treated for neck and back injuries. Her car suffered $15,000 damage, while Coachman’s car sustained $3,000 in damage.On Monday afternoon, Nov. 27, according to the Island County Sheriff’s Office, Fancy Scott of Freeland was hurt when an unidentified driver in a black sports car passed her Toyota while she was waiting to make a left turn from Bayview Road to Andreason Road. A pickup truck driven by Marta Jensen of Greenbank struck Scott’s car when she attempted to make her turn to get out of the way of the sports car. Scott was transported to Whidbey General Hospital for treatment for a neck injury. Her passenger, Roger Carr, 35, was not injured, nor was Jensen. “
