The Au Sable Institute will host a video conference on Tuesday to see a film created by the Washington State University and University of Idaho extension programs on stormwater management. Some of the scenes in the film were shot last September on Whidbey Island.
The movie details low-impact development practices on Whidbey, in Bend, Ore. and Ketchum, Idaho. It includes examples of rain gardens, eco-roofs, permeable pavement and other on-site stormwater control measures.
Following the screening, a panel of experts will talk about the three case studies. The meeting is from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15 at the Au Sable Institute. The institute is located at 180 Parker Road, Coupeville.
The video conference can also be seen at the same time Tuesday on the Internet at http://eces.wsu/video/stream.html.
