They then began to frustrate the Falcons with repeated pushes into their defensive zone and with dogged midfield play.Falcon striker Keasha Campbell brought the game back to even midway through the half. Going one-on-one against a Blaine defender, she turned a hard corner at the left side of the Borderite goal then booted the ball for the right corner. The ball landed in the back the net after goalkeeper failed to get a hand on it.The game remained tied until late in the second half, when a Blaine striker put a second ball past Falcon keeper Kellie Horn. The goal proved to be the winner.Mike Cotton, the Falcons’ assistant coach, said both teams were hard pressed to score.It was fairly evenly matched, he said.In junior varsity action, the Falcons defeated the Blaine JV 3-0. Scorers were Allison Riggs, Lindsey Barrett, and Sonya Morphew. Recording the shutout in goal were Riggs and Taryn Langlois. “
