Blueberry Jazz opens in old Blueberry Hill

A new multi-service events facility focusing on education and health has opened in the old Blueberry Hill restaurant. Its first offering is a seminar on osteoporosis on Nov. 9.

“The old Blueberry Hill restaurant has a new lease on life — as Blueberry Jazz.Owned and operated by Freeland’s James and Carolyn Patterson, the new Blueberry Jazz is a multi-service events facility with a focus on education and health. The Woodard Ave. business will be available for meetings, classes, banquets, retreats, parties, weddings, and other gatherings. For those gatherings, the business will offer gourmet vegetarian foods prepared by chef Eric Olson.On the lower floor of the facility, baker John Stumpf will be baking eggless goods that will be available for takeout. He will also serve up hot soup and warm bread.Blueberry Jazz will also offer monthly health-education classes and cooking demonstrations. On Nov. 9, the facility will host an osteoporosis seminar presented by Karen Thomas, R.N.
