Boating, yacht clubs to host marine swap meet June 4

Boaters, fishers and seafolk will have an opportunity to replenish their maritime supplies.

Boaters, fishers and seafolk will have an opportunity to replenish their maritime supplies without breaking the bank at a marine swap meet next weekend, according to a press release.

The swap meet, co-sponsored by the America’s Boating Club of Deception Pass and the Oak Harbor Yacht Club, will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 4 at the Oak Harbor Yacht Club. The meet will feature nautical hardware, boat gear and other marine-related second-hand items. The public is invited to buy, sell or swap.

Crab pots, clean and inspected with complete rigging, will also be for sale, with prices starting at $25.

There is no charge for anyone interested in selling their second-hand marine items, but no professional vendors are allowed. Each seller will receive some space and will need to bring their own setup materials such as tarps, tents and tables. None will be provided. Setup starts at 9:30 a.m. and the parking lot must be vacated by 2:30 p.m. The sponsors do not provide payment systems, and there is no Wi-Fi on site. Vendors must bring their own change and decide on their own credit card or check policies.

The Oak Harbor Yacht Club is located at 1301 SE Catalina Drive, Oak Harbor. For more information, contact Shawn Haugen at 360-632-6181 or Ralph Morales at 360- 929-1991.
