“On Saturday, March 24, the South Whidbey Athletic Boosters Club will do its best to turn its members’ household items and baked goods into uniforms and equipment for high school sports teams. The club is holding its annual auction that day from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the South Whidbey High School New Commons.While the club already has a good deal of unique and fascinating merchandise set for the sale, it is still looking for more good stuff. Wanted are items in good working condition that are clean and ready for a new home, including but not exclusive to furniture, toys, clothes, jewelry, books, and kitchen items. The club is also looking for people to donate baked goods, which will also be sold.To make donating easy, items for the sale can be dropped off today between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Casey’s Red Apple, or Friday, March 23 between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the South Whidbey High School New Commons.
