Brooks Hill/Coles roads stop sign request to be considered in Langley

The Langley City Council will consider a request for a stop sign at the intersection of Brooks Hill and Coles roads, one of the gateways to the city during the council’s Monday, March 21 meeting.

The Langley City Council will consider a request for a stop sign at the intersection of Brooks Hill and Coles roads, one of the gateways to the city during the council’s Monday, March 21 meeting.

Currently, traffic is unobstructed traveling on Brooks Hill/Bayview road. Coles Road traffic is controlled by a stop sign, but the Brooks Hill Road traffic heading into Langley has a speed limit of 40 mph.

The council will also consider the parks and open space element of the comprehensive plan and vote on making permanent an ordinance designed to encourage affordable housing development.

The city council meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. at city hall on Second Street near the intersection with Cascade Avenue/First Street.
