Caller finds possible human bones on beach | Island Scanner

Island Scanner Dec. 3-7.

The following were gathered from reports made to the Island County Sheriff’s Department:

Thursday, Dec. 3

At 4:12 p.m., a caller reported that a suspicious woman on Parker Road was armed with a baseball bat and said she was on her way to beat up her boyfriend.

At 6:19 p.m., a Wanamaker Road resident reported that a woman pulled into the driveway and tried to steal a generator.

At 9:32 p.m., a Midvale Road resident reported that he shot himself by accident.

At 9:51 p.m., a driver reported that a horned owl flew into the side of his truck on the highway near Winterhawk Lane. The driver left the owl behind on the side of the road.

Friday, Dec. 4

At 2:42 p.m., a Bells Beach Road resident reported that someone stole bird feeders. The neighbors also reported missing bird feeders.

Saturday, Dec. 5

At 4:29 p.m., a business on Highway 20 reported that a delivery truck was stolen.

At 6:48 p.m., a caller from a Main Street business reported that a man refused to wear a mask or leave the store.

At 10:12 p.m., a loose pig was reported on Southeast Fourth Avenue.

Sunday, Dec. 6

At 3:46 a.m., a caller on Manchester Way reported that a man was walking around and looking in windows, including the caller’s bedroom window.

At 11:40 a.m., a caller on Freeland Avenue reported that someone broke in and stole a leaf blower backpack.

Monday, Dec. 7

At 7:22 a.m., a caller reported that a man was unconscious in the porta-potty in Freeland Park.

At 9:59 a.m., a caller reported finding possible human bones on a beach on Penn Cove.

At 10:29 a.m., a resident reported that someone stole a boat motor from a Highway 20 location.

At 12:59 p.m., a Fort Nugent Road resident reported finding dead wild and domestic animals all over his property. The man said they may have been poisoned.
