Langley has approved the bid for the Third Street sewer extension to Sullivan Construction.
The sewer line extension will stretch from the west end of the St. Hubert Catholic Church property west to the intersection of Coles Road.
Three other contractors submitted bids in addition to Sullivan Construction, ranging from $92,319 to $216,015; Larry Brown Construction, Island Asphalt & Sitework and Todd Nysether Construction.
Sullivan Construction submitted a bid of $70,208, well below the city engineer’s estimate of roughly $110,000 for the project.
City officials are confident that Sullivan Construction can complete the project at the bid amount, given the company’s recent work on the Camano Avenue project.
