Island County and state Department of Ecology are accepting comments on a periodic review of the county’s Shoreline Master Program.
The county has prepared draft amendments to the plan to keep it current with changes in state law, changes in other county plans and regulations, and other changed local circumstances.
Public comment will be accepted from March 26 to 5 p.m. April 25. Send comments to CompPlan@islandcountywa.gov. A joint local/state public hearing is set for 2 p.m. April 12.
