A 75-year-old Coupeville woman was seriously injured in a crash in Central Whidbey Aug. 2.

The Washington State Patrol reported that Lynn C. Cantrell was driving a 2013 Dodge Durango south on Patmore Road when the vehicle left the roadway to the right and struck a tree.

The crash was reported at 8:44 p.m.

Cantwell was airlifted to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett for treatment.

The accident is under investigation by the State Patrol. The accident memo states that the cause was speed and “wheels off roadway.”

The report also states that it’s unknown whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
