It’s amazing we had two frosh with 20.Scoring on the stableford system, Falcon freshmen Taryon Langlois and Jennifer Pan both racked up 20 points. South Whidbey scored 81 overall, only 7 strokes behind winner Lake Stevens. Oak Harbor scored 66 and Bainbridge Island 60.Also scoring for South Whidbey were Adrienne Hawley with 17, Hailie Mansfield, 15 and Maria Zontine, 7.We have no seniors at all, said Sage. We’re very young, but deeper and probably better than last year. The Falcons are matched against bigger, non-league schools early in the season.Match medalist Thursday was Oak Harbor’s formidable Kate Waller who scored 30 points. It was her second medalist performance of the week in a match including South Whidbey. Tuesday, she scored 33 at Echo Falls to take medalist honors.The Echo Falls match was South Whidbey’s first of the season. Monroe won with 114 points followed by Lake Stevens with 96, Oak Harbor 80 and South Whidbey 71.Scoring for the Falcons were Hawley with 17 stableford points, Langlois with 17, Pan, 13, Rosa Hendrickson, 12, Samantha Chin, 10 and Hailie Mansfield, 12.Next up for the Falcons is their first home match of the season. Next Thursday they host Kamiak and Port Angeles at Holmes Harbor. “
