Having compiled a record of 5-0 against Wesco 3A teams prior to the meet, the Falcons had finally met a team with more fight than they could handle.Meadowdale’s a solid team, said Coach Kramer.Saephan and the Falcons’ other three singles players lost their matches Friday as South Whidbey lost its first meet of the season 5-2. The only winners for the Falcons were the doubles teams of Paige Jolley and Kaitlin King, which won in straight sets 6-2, 7-5, and Gena Felton and Maya Kocian, also in straight sets (6-4, 6-4).Saephan came the closest to pulling off a singles win. She dominated the first set 6-2 before losing the last two 4-6, 4-6. Gutzmer and Koehn stayed in their match as long as Saephan. They played a marathon 6-7, (4-7), 7-5, 4-6 match right up until sundown.The Falcons play at home today at 3:30 p.m. “
