Holidays bring solid waste facility closures

Many of Island County’s solid waste facilities will be closed for the upcoming holidays.

The closures begin Friday, Nov. 10 for Veteran’s Day. All county solid waste facilities will be closed to observe the holiday. They will all be reopen Saturday, Nov. 11.

County solid waste facilities will also close for Thanksgiving on Thursday, Nov. 23. The Coupeville complex and the Camano Transfer Station locations will reopen Friday, Nov. 24, but other county locations will remain closed.
