“TestingTesting, the music show Webcast on the Internet every other week from the Langley living room of Gordy Coale, will originate in a new location on Monday, April 30. The crew will move Coale’s living room down to the Bayview Cash Store for the 7 p.m. show, and welcome Dana Lyons of Cows With Guns fame as a special guest. Admission is $5. The Smilin’ Dog will be open beforehand with coffee and some food. Singer/songwriter Dana Lyons’ Cows With Guns hit number 2 on Australia’s Country Music charts and debuted on Dr. Demento’s Funny Five on a Super Bowl Sunday in the mid-1990s, staying in it all year and ending up in the #1 spot for the year.Lyons says the song originated from a dream he had in 1994 in which he was visited by the great Cosmic Cow. Thus Cows With Guns was born. While many Whidbey Islanders have heard TestingTesting on the Web or Lyons on the radio, the Monday Webcast will offer the chance to see the TestingTesting crew and Dana Lyons in person. If you’re unable to attend, enter the guestbook live during the Webcast at: electricedge.com/testingtesting.Gordy Coale runs the Web site and is host of TestingTesting, inviting comments from the Internet which Coale reads to the performers during the show.
